At Bandwagon, you will be tasked with building on the successes of the current founding and managing team, to increase the company’s market penetration and profit margins within the taxi industry. You will also be given the opportunity to bring your unique vision to the company’s asset base—identifying new markets for expansion and value creation in the sharing economy, and leading the company to capitalize on these new opportunities.

  • Senior airport sales or industry professionals with deep knowledge and experience selling into and developing product for major airports nationally

  • Senior technology executives who have experience growing and selling technology and logistics companies

  • Motivated, analytic, and creative leaders with a strong appetite for startup development

Bandwagon is a social startup that matches passengers up! We're changing the way people use taxis. We save passengers time and money by helping them split cabs. We're currently operating at JFK, and LaGuardia Airports.

As a Taxishare Agent, you are Bandwagon's front line. Here's what we're looking for in our agents:

Taxishare Agent


Bandwagon is looking for a talented, independently-minded developer with enthusiasm for working on challenges related to transportation, congestion, and real-time interactions. We’re building an application that coordinates people out in the real world to make things more efficient. If that’s the sort of thing you can get excited about, we’d like to meet you.

You’d be working with Ruby on Rails and Java on the backend and AngularJS on the front end. We’re a small, fast moving team and you’d be responsible for the stability of the entire stack while occasionally building and releasing new functionality to expand our product offering.


  • Build Bandwagon’s user-facing application (web and HTML5-based mobile) and the services that support it

  • Work with product management and design to craft an exceptional user experience

  • Design and implement metrics benchmarks around new features

  • Write unit and integration tests

  • Fix issues with live deployments - whether in one of our mobile apps or a service running on AWS

  • Integrating external APIs

  • Participation in team conversations about product direction

Bonus points for:

  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails

  • Proficiency in a front-end JS framework (AngularJS, React, Ember..)

  • Experience building internal and external APIs and RESTful web services

  • Experience with Java Play and Java Spring

  • Familiarity with AWS EC2, ECS, ELB, AutoScaling, CloudFront, and S3

  • Experience hosting apps on Heroku

  • Having previously built and released apps to Google Play and Apple App Stores

  • Statistical/data modeling experience with Matlab, R, python, etc.
